We will only ever contact winners by direct message from our official Dough Couture Instagram or Facebook account. We will never ask you for payment, banking details or passwords. Please ignore and report any other account claiming you've won.

Terms and conditions

1. The promoter

1.1 The Dough Couture Christmas Giveaway 2026 ("the giveaway") is run by Dough Couture, Pretoria, South Africa ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: info@doughcouture.co.za.

2. Dates

2.1 The giveaway opens when the giveaway posts are published on our Instagram account and Facebook Page on 2 November 2026 at 17:00 (SAST) and closes on 1 December 2026 at 23:59 (SAST). Comments posted after the closing time do not count.

2.2 The winners will be drawn and announced on 2 December 2026.

3. Who can enter

3.1 The giveaway is open to South African residents aged 18 or older.

3.2 The first prize is open to entrants anywhere in South Africa.

3.3 The runner-up prize is open to entrants who live in our local delivery area (Pretoria and surrounds) or who can collect the prize from us in Pretoria.

3.4 In line with the Consumer Protection Act, a prize cannot be awarded to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Dough Couture, any supplier of goods or services for this giveaway, or the spouse, life partner, business partner or immediate family member of any of these people.

3.5 Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Your normal data costs may apply.

4. How to enter

4.1 Instagram: (a) follow Dough Couture on Instagram; (b) like the giveaway post; and (c) comment on the giveaway post with your dream festive flavour and tag the person you'd share your prize with.

4.2 Facebook: (a) follow the Dough Couture Facebook Page; (b) like the giveaway post; and (c) comment on the giveaway post with your dream festive flavour and tag the person you'd share your prize with.

4.3 Comments must be posted directly on the giveaway post. Replies to other people's comments do not count as entries.

5. Extra entries and the entry limit

5.1 Each separate comment that meets the rules in section 4 counts as one entry. Whichever platform you enter on, each additional comment must tag a different person.

5.2 Each account can earn a maximum of 5 comment entries per platform. You are welcome to keep commenting, but comments beyond 5 are not counted.

5.3 Story bonus: share the giveaway post to your Instagram or Facebook Story and tag us to earn 1 bonus entry (maximum 1 per account on each platform), in addition to your comment entries. Stories disappear after 24 hours, so we can only count Story shares that tag us and that we see while the Story is live.

5.4 Instagram and Facebook entries are counted separately. You only need to enter on one platform, but you're welcome to enter on both.

5.5 We will disqualify entries from fake, duplicate or "giveaway-only" accounts, entries made with bots or automated tools, and comments that are offensive, abusive or spam.

6. How the winners are chosen

6.1 On 2 December 2026 we will draw the winners at random from all valid entries on both giveaway posts, using an independent online random comment-picker tool. The draw will be screen-recorded.

6.2 The first valid entry drawn wins the first prize. The next valid entry drawn from a different person wins the runner-up prize. Each person can win only one prize.

6.3 Before announcing a winner, we check that they followed us, liked the post and met all the entry rules, and that they are eligible for that prize. If they did not, we will draw again.

7. Contacting and announcing the winners

7.1 We will contact the winners by direct message from our official Dough Couture Instagram or Facebook account on 2 December 2026. We will never ask for payment, banking details or passwords.

7.2 Winners must reply within 48 hours with their name, contact number and delivery address (or a collection arrangement). If a winner does not reply in time or cannot accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited and we will draw a new winner.

7.3 We will announce the winners by their Instagram or Facebook name on both platforms. If you would prefer that we don't publish your name, let us know. This will not affect your prize.

8. The prizes

8.1 First prize: a festive hamper filled with Dough Couture goodies. Contents shown in our posts are for illustration and may vary.

8.2 Runner-up prize: our very first Festive Box of 2026, packed with seasonal treats.

8.3 We will deliver prizes free of charge on a date arranged with each winner in December 2026. If the first-prize winner lives outside our local delivery area, we may swap freshly baked items for shelf-stable treats of similar value so that everything arrives at its best.

8.4 Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to someone else. If an item becomes unavailable, we will replace it with an item of similar or greater value.

8.5 Allergens: our products are baked in a kitchen that actively works with gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, peanuts and sesame. We cannot guarantee that any prize is free from allergens.

9. Your personal information

9.1 We only collect the personal information we need to run the giveaway, contact the winners and deliver the prizes, and we process it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Entering does not add you to our mailing list.

10. Instagram, Facebook and Meta

10.1 By entering, you fully release Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram and Facebook from any liability in connection with this giveaway.

10.2 This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta, Instagram or Facebook.

11. General

11.1 This giveaway is a promotional competition under section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. These rules are available free of charge on this page and by email on request.

11.2 If the giveaway is affected by circumstances beyond our control (for example, a platform outage or a giveaway post being removed), we may need to update these rules. Any change will be posted on this page and on the giveaway posts, and will not reduce the prizes.

11.3 By entering, you agree to these terms and conditions. South African law applies.
